JORGE SARMIENTO – Corporate Finance Leader

Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Andes University  in Bogota. Master of Financial Engineering and Master of Applied Economics at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, USA. He worked as a consultant to the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Colombia. Later he worked for the management consulting firm AT Kearney in Boston, USA where he completed projects for clients in various industries. More recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer of PTI Sports (U.S. $ 60 million in sales) in Miami, USA, a supplier of sports equipment firm for large mass-market customers such as Wal-Mart and Target. Jorge is currently Deputy Director of Solidus Capital, boutique investment bank specializing in mergers and acquisitions, valuation, and legal and financial advice. He also serves as chair professor in the Specialization in Finance from the Universidad Javeriana in Cali in corporate finance and valuation. Jorge has extensive experience in acquisitions from the point of view of the company that acquired as of the acquiree. As financial manager of PTI Sports, led its sale to Pacific Cycle in August 2008 conducting its assessment, due diligence and communication with buyers, investment bank, lawyers. Advised Canadian National in its acquisition strategy by evaluating purchase of two regional companies in Mexico and Canada. Also advised Canadian National’s strategy of merging with the other five major North American railroads in an environment of regulatory changes. Participated in strategic planning of regional rail Florida East Coast Railways, which included the sale of real estate assets and the design of strategies for co-production with a national railway. Participated in proposals for large pharmaceutical clients, including consulting for acquisitions. weekly with the project sponsor within Roemmers.

CATHERINE AYURE LOAIZA - Business Process Outsourcing Partner

Industrial Engineer at  the University of America in Colombia, specializing in Project Management and Quality Management under the Project Management Institute methodology. With extensive experience in engineering and continuous improvement of administrative processes, financial and educational, focused on the implementation of ISO 9000:2000, with strengths in design, consultancy, training and implementation of processes. In the public sector consultant for the management of CADE, Secretariat for Control of Housing, Mayor of Bogotá. With extensive experience in the private sector by supporting quality processes to G3 Consultants, Banco Tequendama, large areas of Colombia SA (Carrefour), PricewaterhouseCoopers and Service International Trade Market. She currently serves as senior consultant in the signing process BM Consulting Group SA PMI methodology applied to development projects of the Ministry of Education of Caqueta and Tumaco.She has the ability to lead and work together. Good knowledge of management and management quality standards. Catherine speaks English and Spanish.

PILAR ACOSTA TAMAYO Co-Partner Associated

Lawyer of the  University Externado of Colombia with a master’s degree in Social and Political Sciences in globalization, social regulation and sustainable development, a joint program of the Universities of Lausanne and Geneva, Switzerland.
She has experience participating in international research projects on micro credit and small business formalization, with the social finance section of the International Labour Organization, United Nations specialized agency in Geneva, Switzerland. Also has experience in recognized institutions of North-East Africa, Alexandria Business Association (ABA), Alexandria and Dakahlya Businessmen’s Association for Community Development (DBACD), Al-Mansourah, Egypt, in Colombia was counsel in the Personality of Bogotá, the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce and the headquarters of equity conciliation of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá.

Other global duties in  international norms campaigns and boarded from the Institute of International Studies Geneva (HEI) and from the Graduate Institute of Development, Geneva (IUED) in economic development in relation to ethnic minorities and indigenous people from various regions and political global.

She is a board membe,  working  as manager in the  legal department. Pilar speaks French, English and Spanish.

JORGE ALBERTO DÍAZ ATEHORTÚA – Founder

Financial Engineer. He worked  for PricewaterhouseCoopers since 2001, his career at the firm was  developed in the areas of corporate strategy, strategic channel management technology, and sales, marketing, brand development, customer service and E-Business models. He has participated in projects for companies like LEGIS SA, ORACLE, UNISYS, CEMEX, AVAYA, ParqueSoft, Empresas Publicas de Medellin (UNE), TELECOM, Coomeva, Actualicese.com, Bancafe, Colanta, Hewlett Packard, Cement Holcim (Switzerland) Software Tango (Argentina), ASPEL (Mexico), Computer Memory (Uruguay), Quintec (Chile), Comware and Affinity Internet Data Center Solutions. He was a pioneer of the SaaS model (Software as a Service, software lease via the Internet) developing the first commercial network of ERP ‘s under the SaaS model in Colombia. He is currently a founding partner of Domäne Consulting Group Ltd, a firm specialized in providing professional consulting services to SMEs and Universities, Government  in Latin America. Jorge speaks English, Italian and Spanish.
