Metro Café  purchases and roasts high-quality whole bean coffees and sells them along with fresh, rich-brewed, Italian style espresso beverages, a variety of pastries and confections. The customers feel this sense of belonging,  it is a break from the worries outside and a place where they can meet friends.

The aims of the appraisal were:

1. Evaluate the financial, economic, and social objectives of the project;
2. Verify the procedures of the project formulation team;
3. Recommend the conditions which will ensure that the project objectives are met; and
4. Ensure that the proposed grant/loan/expenditure is in accordance with the policy of the financing institution.

Domäne Consulting Group´s project appraisal included the following aspects:
1. technical, engineering design and environmental matters;
2. financial, requirements for funds, the financial situation of the implementing agency, and  project beneficiaries when appropriated.
3. commercial, procurement and marketing arrangements;
4. social, sociological factors and expected impact of the project on certain groups (such as ethnic minorities and women);
5. institutional, organization and management arrangements, the requirement for arrangements of technical assistance, project monitoring and evaluation;
6. economic, project costs to the national economy;  the size and distribution of benefits.

Metro Café  is located at Carrera 97 C 69 Bogotá-Bosa, Ciudadela El Recreo immersed in Metrovivienda, which represents a pilot project in Latin America for the development of urban planning and underprivileged.
